We are a community of faith that seeks out what God is doing in the world, and we join in. Our faith is built around a belief in God made known to us in Jesus Christ and sustained by the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Josh joined the LCGS team in August of 2017. He had previously served at New Hope Lutheran Church – Sand Creek and Pine Creek. Prior to attending and graduating from Luther Seminary, he did his undergraduate work at Luther College before graduating from UW-Eau Claire.
Pastor Josh and his wife, Kayla, married in 2011 and they have three children, Olivia (2014), Jackson (2016), and Owen (2019). They are excited to be raising their family in Eau Claire. They enjoy spending time together as a family and rarely is there a dull moment.
Pastor Toufar’s greatest passion for ministry is discovering what all of God’s children bring to the table. His faith was nurtured by a congregation that loved and cared for him. It is his personal mission that any child that comes into our church will know that while they are here they are loved, and they matter.
DeAnne joined the staff at LCGS in October 2010, providing support to the pastor, program staff, committees, church council, and directing the office. DeAnne is often your first contact at LCGS as she manages the phones and creates a sense of Christian community in the office. She also oversees the church’s calendar, provides recordkeeping and bookkeeping support, and creates the weekly bulletins, and weekly emails. DeAnne is pretty much the “glue.” DeAnne and her husband have lived in the LCGS neighborhood since 1992 and have two grown children. Quilting, crafting, walking, bike riding, and reading occupy her time when she is not at work.
Sue is a gifted musician and worship leader. She plays an integral role in worship leadership by coordinating meaningful music, directing the adult choir and “the band,” and playing at most of our worship events. As a part-time music minister, Sue provides full-time energy. She and her husband, Mark, are wildlife lovers and enjoy hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with their daughters and granddaughter.
