Currently we have one service at 9 a.m. Join us here, or if you are uncomfortable coming in, worship will still be online on Sunday mornings.
We invite you to worship with us at 9 a.m. on Sundays and to Faith Formation and Fellowship time at 10:15 a.m. Our confirmation students meet on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:45 p.m.
Sunday 8:30 a.m. Worship is led by Pastor and other worship leaders. You will experience beautiful piano and organ from Sue as well as hear from our choirs. This service is the service that some might classify as “Traditional.” During this service, you are invited to utilize the prayer station that is available at the front of the sanctuary.
Sunday 10:30 a.m. Worship is led by a praise band. Sometimes that is our own Shepherd’s Light, and other times it is the Ensemble. This is a much freer flowing service with nearly half in attendance being under the age of 16. Our only “assigned” roles in this service are the Pastor, and our trusty usher Larry, who is more than excited to train any young ushers that want to help. Communion is frequently served by our young people as well. The beautiful part of this service is that prayer is the central aspect. The prayer station that is available in the 8:30 service is the centerpiece of the 10:30 service.
At Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, we don’t subscribe to the labels “traditional” and “contemporary” for our worship services. We don’t like to say that one is more kid-friendly than the other. Because truth be told, those labels and descriptions wouldn’t be true! Both services are enjoyable for younger children with ample opportunity for all to be involved!
All baptized Christians are invited to receive Holy Communion. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday.
God’s Story: Connect! is a weekly opportunity for fellowship, study, and worship and is aimed at all ages. It is for anyone who wants to know more about God’s Word and how it relates to his or her daily life.
