Week 3 of our series on our values as a church where we will examine and hear about those things that YOU have told us we, as a Christian Community, will not waver on.
We have heard that Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd values deep and meaningful relationships that cross generations for the sake of the gospel, lived through a genuine welcome of all. This week we add: Worship that engages EACH of God’s children.
What does this look like? For us at Good Shepherd it is about more than young children, it is about realizing that we are all called and claimed as God’s children, and we EACH have a place in worship here. Paul calls those with gifts to teach, to teach; and those with gifts to serve, to serve; leaders to lead; and readers to read. And we believe that to be at the core of who we are here as well.
These values are rooted in scripture. This statement is the result of the work of the Strategic Plan team and the many conversations they have had around the data and responses collected through the Congregation Conversation, the Congregation Survey, and conversations with community partners. These values are things that we, as Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, will not waver on. These values are at the core of who we are as a congregation, and they are things that anyone that comes into any experience here at Good Shepherd is going to experience.
